Laura Bueno "Campo Mexicano"

Laura Bueno (b. 1966) is a contemporary visual artist who lives and works in Mexico City. She attended the National School of Painting, Sculpture, and Printmaking La Esmeralda in Mexico City, where she graduated with a degree in Literature in 1990. 
 
Bueno has created reproductions of important archeological pieces found in La Venta, a pre-Columbian archaeological site of the Olmec civilization located in the present-day Mexican state of Tabasco. As a visual artist, Bueno’s paintings are influenced by her personal and professional experiences traveling around Mexico, as well as her intimate knowledge of the country’s archeology and cultural/historical heritage.
