How Do I Take Care Of My Art?

We use sturdy construction methods, acid free products, and other high quality materials in our products so you are set up for success from the start. Keeping your art stored in dry places will avoid liquid damage while keeping your art away from direct sunlight will avoid radiation damage.

How Do I Hang Or Install My Art After Framing?

When we frame art in our local store, we typically attach a wire across the back or install a cleat system for heavier projects. For wires, measure to the point on the wall where you want the wire to pull taught, install a nail or hook there, place the art there by it's wire, and use a leveling tool to adjust to horizontal level.

CAUTION: Affixing art to your wall improperly may result in damages, injury, or even death. Do so at your own caution. We will not responsible for any damages, injuries, or death that results from hanging or installations. Cleat systems are typically only installed on heavy products that may be especially hazardous when handled improperly. We suggest proper supervision and help when installing large and or heavy art.

For cleat systems, you will first need to find and mark the width of your wall studs. Then, measure to the point on the wall where the center of the supporting cleat should go approximately, making sure to get at at least one hole lined up over a stud. It is advised to use wall anchors to install any wall screws that do not go into a stud or similar weight bearing structures. From there, partially install the center screw of the supporting cleat so that the cleat's open edge is facing up and the screw is not tightly set into the wall, but lightly holds the cleat's position. Use a leveling tool to adjust the supporting cleat to horizontal level and then mark where the holes line up for screws. You can then adjust the leveled support cleat out of the way to install (more) wall anchors where studs aren't present, adjust the support cleat back to level, and install all screws tightly into the wall. Your piece should be ready to lift and place, interlocking the cleat from the back of your art onto the cleat installed to the wall.
